Ed Leijnse, Mr. Ed
Since a long time I like to draw and paint. I started to paint as a 3 year old kid in my mother's school class in Amsterdam. My mother, who was divorced, didn't have the money to send me to a kindergarten, I was also too young for that. And, I always liked to paint. 
Now I'm already retired (retired but not tired) and I'm still painting. Hope you like the small exhibition, have fun!

Schon seit langer Zeit male und zeichne ich gerne. Als 3-jähriges Kind begann ich in der Schulklasse meiner Mutter in Amsterdam zu malen. Meine Mutter, die geschieden war, hatte nicht genug Geld, um mich in den Kindergarten zu schicken, und außerdem war ich dafür noch zu jung. Und ich habe es immer geliebt zu malen. Jetzt bin ich bereits im Ruhestand und male immer noch.

Pastel and scratchboard

A3-size with wooden frame and passpartout. I made some of these pastels between 1995 and 2002. And the "walking men with boat": in 1966 (as a twelve year old kid) The scratch board with the pigeon is from 2023, the pigeons pastel from 2022.

Oilpaintings

Oilpaintings size 100-80 cm (roses) and 50-40 cm (fishes and tulips). They are framed (Roses with golden/violet frame, fishes with blue frame and tulips with red frame). I made these oil paintings in 2023 with the great support of Gisela Widmer-Reichlin.
